Why Do We Need Another Great Move of God?

Imagine yourself at the doorstep of the church that Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses to on 31 October, 1517. That one act began a spiral of events that led us, over 500 years later, to a church era that celebrates freedoms he could only have dreamed of!

Such movements have propelled us as a kingdom. If we would only look at our history as a people, we would begin grasping the indication of what is to come. With every move the Lord has revealed more of Himself, and today, we stand on the verge of another.

In my podcast "Why the Prophet Is on the Crest of the New Move" I invite the prophets to take their place. However, in this teaching, I want to ignite a fire in you for what God has in store for you as a child, called and loved by Jesus.

Have you wondered why there is such an emphasis on the prophetic ministry in the church? It’s not random. God has been preparing us for this for nearly 300 years.

During the Great Awakening of the 1740s-1830s, great teachers such as John Wesley and Charles Finney, turned what we knew about our salvation upside down. Picking up their torches, Charles Spurgeon and later, Watchman Nee, revolutionized our perspective of Scripture.

In an era that called us to live in holiness, we came to experience the nature of our Father. We came to know the righteousness that God expected from us. He demanded a life of holiness from us that everyone could see. The Great Awakenings gave us a heart to understand the rules our Father laid down for us as a people.

Fast forward a hundred years, and once again, we are swept up by a move of God. Who doesn’t remember the charismatic fire from heaven in the early 1900’s! The Holy Spirit fell on every tribe and tongue and revealed His nature to us through signs, wonders, and speaking in tongues. We were slain in the Spirit and we came face to face with the “doer” of the Trinity who reminded us that our God is alive and well. Evangelists such as John G. Lake, Kathryn Kuhlman, Smith Wigglesworth, and William Branham took to the streets, tents, factories, and trains. The church was never going to be the same again.

Another century has turned and can you feel the undercurrent in the spirit? God is, once again, preparing us for the next move. Look up church! God is moving again and He has shifted our societies to accommodate it. The Lord has gone to great lengths to position you to encounter Him.

The current rise of the prophetic ministry brings us face to face with one part of the Trinity we have yet to experience: the lover of our soul, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prophets are being called to the forefront not because of their gifts and talents. Rather, it is their unique intimacy experience with the Lord Jesus. Not only are we on the verge of a new move, but entire nations are shifting in preparation of it. We know the righteousness of the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit, and now, we will come to experience the undying love of the Lord Jesus in a tangible way.

With a heart to worship and weep with those who weep, the Lord is raising up His prophets to bring the bride to intimacy with her groom. It’s their time to get in the trenches and put aside platforms and personal agendas to do their part.

What does this mean for you? It means that every hardship and sudden change in circumstances have led you to a tipping point in your life.

Eyes have not seen nor ears heard the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. Yet, for those who are open to hear what He is revealing through His Spirit, they will enter into the deeper things of God. Child of God, you are about to come face to face with the Lord Jesus and He has gone through a lot of effort to draw you toward Him.

1 Corinthians 2
9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
