"Everything Has Its Time To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:" - Ecclesiastes 3:1
So many people ask, “what is my purpose in life?” The answer is simple. Your Heavenly Father commissioned you with a purpose from your mother’s womb. Everything that happens to you, positions you to learn and walk in that purpose. The sooner you know it the sooner everything makes sense.
So let me ask you this, what is the one repeating instruction the Lord keeps giving you? It is likely something you don’t feel like doing. It is likely your purpose in life!
This leads me to the second part… What season are you in?
Your purpose will lead you into seasons that are part of your development. This will happen whether you know your purpose or not. The Lord needs you to take something from them. But remember a season is temporary.
If you’re stuck in a season, it’s time to get the memo of what the Lord is trying to teach you. Our calling is progressive, stagnation is a sign we are out of the will of God.
Now before you think seasons are all about growth, read this scripture.
"A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;" - Ecclesiastes 3:3
Winter is also a season and a beautiful image of spiritual death and letting go. Could your stagnation be because you didn’t allow the old season to die? Death removes the dross and makes space for the next season's deposits.
My greatest spiritual death produced the greatest leaps forward. Death isn’t a sign of your failure, it’s a sign of promotion.
What’s your season today? Is it to learn and grow? Or is it to tear down and die? You need every season to qualify for your true purpose. The time it takes will depend on you. Avoid stagnating in the old seasons. Embrace the season, learn the lesson, and move on.
