How Craig Got Healed From Dyslexia by Worshipping in Tongues

Craig never knew his left from his right. When I offered to be the navigator in the old days when we used paper maps, we had a routine. Instead of shouting "Left! Right." I would give the call, "Your side of the car. My side of the car." Considering that I could get lost in my own backyard, it was miraculous we got anywhere on time.

Craig had a hard time knowing his left from his right because he was dyslexic. He isn't dyslexic today. My healing came in the form of Google maps. Craig's came through prophetic worship! He always wanted to play guitar and when God opened the door, he sprinted through it.

I remember listening as he played outside, on our patio, for hours. The same chord again and again. His blistered fingers played the same routine after everyone went to bed. His hours alone weren't all practice. He combined knowledge and Jesus! He learned each chord by singing along in tongues. It got him through the tender fingers and cramped hand.

Moment by moment in His presence and a miracle happened. Craig saw breakthroughs in every area of his life. Where it took him hours to write a short email, he now wrote articles and multiple emails a day. He discovered the power of worship. When we come to the Lord Jesus in our weakness, He displaces it with His strength. Isn't this what Paul said:

"And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9

God doesn't judge us for our shortcomings. Rather He invites us into His presence, broken. He invites us in our lowest point. He invites us when we have very little to offer. It's then that He imparts His strength to us.

You've been trying so hard to be perfect. You think you must present your best face to your Father. He invites you into the Throne Room today He invites you broken, frustrated and angry. Don't wait!

Why not do as Craig did? Go take some time to worship. Got a guitar handy? Pick it up and strum a chord. Got your voice? Sing a love song to Jesus. He requires just one sacrifice from you. A sacrifice of praise. It costs us, not because it's difficult. It costs us because we feel imperfect.

I know your miracle waits in His presence. Make it a daily practice this week before attacking your day!
