You Celebrated His Death, Now Walk in His Resurrection
Her name was Mitzy. We met at a dumpster and a chicken carcass her sole possession. Her wild eyes, recently opened. She fixated on every move I made. She made it known, her prize was worth the fight. I cornered her and by the scruff of her neck, tucked her into my jacket.
It took weeks for distrust to give way to friendship. I loved that cat!
We've all been Mitzy. Jesus pulled us from the dirt. Yet even though we have a new home, we sometimes believe satan's lies. Satan says that all you can expect from life are the scraps.
Rebel against this mindset! Here is a truth to counter the lie: You are enough!
If Jesus accepted you when you refused Him, how much more now, as His beloved?
Sure, we have all fallen short of the glory of God. That is the seed of sin in us. I also know Jesus paid a price, and His grace has no limits.
We celebrated His death this weekend. Now we must walk out His resurrection!
Your real problem is this; the devil, that dirty dog, likes to rub your nose in your failures. He even tries to tell you; “You’re unworthy of your Christian title. You're an outcast.”
Don't believe the lie! When Jesus became your Savior, you died to your old man. You gave up your worldly birthright and Jesus adopted you.
We get dirty from our old-world programming. But Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, help us every step of the way. First, confess your sin. Then stand in faith to claim your Heavenly birthright. Reject the lies!
You are an overcomer because Jesus made the way for you. Your righteousness isn't in your works, but in Jesus, who paid the price.
Like little Mitzy, you can embrace your adoption! Come to peace. You are enough and safe in Jesus' hands.
Now, don't keep that gift to yourself! Spread the good news! Everywhere you look there is another "Mitzy" clinging onto that false hope. Invite them to join the family!
