Dismantling the Platform

What most folks don’t know about our ministry is our emphasis on personal impartation and interaction. We make our best efforts to have one on one interaction at our workshops. The pulpit for me is just one way to reach the Church, but it is our personal conviction that if we are going to leave lasting change in the lives of leaders, well… we kinda need to physically be around them!

Can we get practical here? You can buy my books. You can watch me on YouTube and I am sure you will motivated and inspired (or hopping mad… choose your poison!) However, true change comes from taking time to invest into God’s people. Those that we mentor and personally train… for Craig and I, this is real investment into the Kingdom.

The Lord is raising up apostolic mothers and fathers whose ministry transcends that of the public and social media. Everyone is caught up on finding a platform and seeking out their next speaking engagement. You might go away feeling good and I do not doubt that you inspired everyone, but how much of that change is truly lasting?

When are we going to see apostles and ministry leaders extend their mantle beyond the pulpit? Is being an apostle truly all about the fame and renown or is it about changing lives? One day you will die apostle. Who will be there to take your teachings to the next generation?

Who will continue the work you have begun? Who will share your vision, anointing and mandate? If all you do is spend your time trying to “get known” and to “reach the masses” then you can be sure that your flame will burn brightly for a season. However, when it goes out… it will be out and it will be left for the next generation to pick themselves up all over again and start from scratch.

No matter how powerful a teaching is - until you have the capacity to apply it to your life and then walk it out, it is dead word. It is those in our lives who showed, a step at a time, what to do who truly taught us.

Our mothers that taught us the basics of life. The pastor that taught you to pray. That spiritual father that helped you come into a relationship with Jesus. All the teachings and preachings from that spotlit platform confirmed your process, but it was those that took you personally by the hand that enabled you to go through your process.

There is no greater foundation that we can lay as apostles than that in the hearts of those that we mentor and parent. Until this foundation is laid, your platform will always fall short, not having the support it needs to hold it up. Dismantle the platform. Then invest that building and instead establish the Kingdom in others. This is truly the call and function of the apostle.
