Let's Talk About Your Feminine Identity

Kitchen talks with my daughters ran deep. I prepared them for their wedding night while chopping onions. I taught them on self-image while stirring the soup. In other words, teaching my daughters about their god-given identity was organic and healthy!

When is the right time to prepare your daughter for the world’s realities? From the time she is old enough to steal your shoes and mascara! Unfortunately, not many moms had a healthy upbringing. They tried their best with what they had but it just wasn’t enough. The gaps leave their mark on your feminine identity.

If you think your identity as a woman stops when you close your bedroom door, you are wrong.

How you view yourself as a woman affects your romantic relationships. It hinders your ability to teach your daughters. It becomes a crack in your ministry foundation.

MY STRUGGLE WITH FEMININITY

I should know, my ministry foundation had this crack. My mother did the best she could with what she had. Unfortunately… there were gaps. I struggled to feel feminine. I was embarrassed about my sexuality. Worst of all, I continually felt “less than.” I was never “mother enough” or “wife enough.” I wrestled under a boulder of guilt and striving.

The Lord Jesus had to build me from the ground up. The first thing He did was show me His version of femininity.

I want to pass on to you, the Word the Father gave me, “I created you in my image. You continue to shape yourself into what everyone expects of you. When will you allow me to show you the kind of woman I want you to be?

Wow! I spent years telling Jesus all the things I wanted Him to change about me. It turned out that the character others tried to kill, was His gift to me! He renovated me from the inside out. Today, I want to be the catalyst for your transformation.

If you wrestle with feelings of inadequacy as a woman, I want to invite you into my kitchen. I want to walk you through your feminine identity like I walked my daughters through theirs. Healing isn’t only possible for you today, it's organic when you’re in the right environment.
